PILLAR 1 · PILOTS

We partner with nonprofit organizations to design and deploy custom AI solutions tailored to their most urgent needs, from data analysis to workflow acceleration. ATI works side‑by‑side with NGOs to co‑create practical, responsible AI tools that improve effectiveness, transparency, and impact. Each pilot is developed collaboratively, tested in real‑world conditions, and documented as a reusable learning model for the broader nonprofit community.

PILLAR 2 · FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

Supporting early‑career and continuing‑education talent to build AI tools for public good

The ATI Fellowship Program is a six‑month, funded opportunity for early‑career and continuing‑education individuals to design and deploy AI tools that serve nonprofit and public‑interest needs. By promoting AI literacy and preparedness, the program strengthens workforce capacity to apply and innovate with AI across education, business and economic sectors, and public services. Fellows receive guidance, technical support, and funding from ATI as they move from ideation to launch. Upon completion, each project becomes part of ATI's public tool gallery, ensuring continued support for NGOs while showcasing scalable, mission‑driven AI solutions.

PILLAR 3 · EDUCATION HUB

Open knowledge to help nonprofits adopt AI responsibly

ATI produces and curates a growing library of public resources, including articles, case studies, research findings, webinars, practical guides, tools, and funding opportunities. These resources are designed to help nonprofit organizations understand, adopt, and govern AI responsibly, grounded in real deployments and lessons learned through ATI programs.

Our mission is to support research, accelerate workflows, and empower the next generation of technologists to build tailored AI tools for communities and public-interest organizations.

What we do

Our work is rooted in helping mission‑driven organizations do their best work with the support of responsible AI tools. We also believe in empowering early‑career individuals to develop, test, and launch ideas that make a real difference. By prioritizing responsible AI, we aim to make sure its impact is shared widely, and that no communities are left behind.

Who we serve

THREE BENEFICIARY POPULATIONS

  • ATI partners with nonprofit and public‑interest organizations to co‑create responsible AI tools that address real‑world challenges. We focus on building practical, reusable solutions that strengthen organizational capacity, improve decision‑making, and unlock new funding and impact opportunities.

  • ATI supports early‑career researchers, students, and technologists by providing hands‑on experience designing and deploying AI for public good. Through fellowships, pilots, and educational programs, participants gain real‑world skills while contributing to projects that serve communities and nonprofit partners.

  • ATI works in partnership with communities that are historically underserved by technology, such as Indigenous peoples, food‑insecure households, and communities disproportionately affected by climate and data inequity. Our approach centers community priorities, making critical data visible and usable to support advocacy, resilience, and equitable access to resources.
